Established in 2010 in Busan, South Korea, TWINSTAR has built a strong presence in the aquarium lighting industry through outstanding technology and design. The company currently provides products and services in 21 countries worldwide.


Since its establishment, TWINSTAR has invested in the development of innovative technologies. In 2012, the company developed the world’s first aquarium sterilizer using electrolysis technology and has been selling this product to customers worldwide. The TWINSTAR sterilizer has made the TWINSTAR brand known in the global market.


In 2015, TWINSTAR developed the world’s first WRGB LED aquarium lighting. This technology brought innovation to the aquarium lighting market and became a new standard for both the aquarium lighting and plant industry.


In 2024, TWINSTAR developed new spectrum technology by adding three types of color LEDs to the existing WRGB lighting. This technology, which uses only color LEDs, offers superior color and provides wavelengths essential for plant growth, resulting in faster plant growth and excellent energy efficiency.

Aquarium Sterilizer in 2012

We developed electrolysis sterilizer technology that inhibits algae growth in aquariums and sterilizes fish pathogens. This is the world’s first aquarium sterilizer using electrolysis, and it is the safest way to sterilize aquariums.


WRGB Aquarium lighting in 2015

In 2015, TWINSTAR developed the world’s first aquarium lighting using WRGB LEDs. This technology replaced T5 lamps and white LED lighting with WRGB LED lighting on the market. With an optimized spectrum to provide the necessary light energy for plant growth, this innovative lighting promotes faster and healthier plant growth and significantly enhances the color of red aquatic plants, a result not previously achievable with traditional LED lighting.


New Light Technology with 
Six Types of Color LEDs in 2024

In 2024, we introduced a new concept in lighting technology, marking the first significant innovation since the development of WRGB lighting 10 years ago. The core of this new technology is the design of the spectrum using only six types of color LEDs. The light from these six color LEDs provides the essential light energy needed for plant growth, and with optimized design, it supplies energy to the plants intensively, ensuring they grow quickly and healthily. Additionally, since only color LEDs are used, the light color is significantly improved compared to traditional WRGB LED lighting.
